Ed Cooper top-scored with the bat and took the most wickets with the ball as Ganton beat Fylingdales in division ‘C’ – but team-mate Rob Gretton grabbed the limelight.
Cooper hit 39 out of Ganton’s total of 143, as Andy Smith claimed 5-34.
Cooper then grabbed 5-32 from his 11 overs in the reply, but, then, with the visitors on 67-6, Gretton started his seventh over and cleaned up the tail in his next four balls – bowling two and trapping the other two leg before wicket, leaving Fylingdales demoralised.
Wykeham 2nds were put into bat at Ravenscar and forged ahead to a total of 203-7 with Steve Clegg (58) and Ian Thompson (39) leading the charge.
After tea, Jai Praveen hit 46 but Andy Bamfield (5-32) and Steve Day (3-26) found conditions more to their liking, sending Ravenscar back to the pavilion for 132.
Grindale shared the runs about to total 220-5 at Ebberston 2nds, Andy Clegg top-scoring with 57.
Their attack, led by Liam Cousins (3-24), Thomas Jackson (3-43) and Ian Cousins (3-17), also proved too hot for Ebberston, as the home team were all out for 92.
