CHARM PARK is the venue for the Staintondale Hunt Point-to-Point on Bank Holiday Monday, April 25.

Nearly 90 entries have been received for a six-race card and the first contest, the Point-to-Point Owners and Riders Club Members race for Veteran and Novice riders, will start at 1pm.

A veteran rider must be over the age of 45 at the point of declaration and a novice rider must not have ridden more than three winners before the start of the season. Chris Cundall has the choice of two horses in this race, which both seem to like Charm Park and with his experience in the saddle it would not be a surprise to see him in the winners’ enclosure.

The restricted race could go the way of Oriel Bank, who was an impressive winner at the Middleton and has progressed nicely since making his debut at Sheriff Hutton back in January. The mixed open is, on paper, a very competitive affair and with many recent winners and placed horses among the entries there are several that could be in the shake up.

The most entries for the day are in the Open Maiden Conditions race.

The postcode for satellite navigation is YO13 9QU and admission to the public car park is £10 per person, which includes a racecard. Under-16s are free. The reserved car park is for ticket holders and disabled only.
