Ryedale athletics star Richard Buck is travelling to Valencia today ahead of the World Indoor Championships.
Buck, 21, has been selected to represent Great Britain in the 400 metres and the 4 x 400 metre relay events at the weekend.
He won his place after gaining a personal best in the World Trials and UK Championships in Sheffield.
He told the Gazette & Herald: "Training has been going alright, I'm feeling confident. It's always difficult because you don't know how a race will go and how you will feel so it's always a bit of a gamble but I'm feeling good for it."
