THE stalwart efforts of the Malton and Norton Tidy Group, reported in the Gazette & Herald on March 11, “Litter campaigners in blitz on blackspots” should be commended.
I think the following words are appropriate for publication in the Gazette & Herald, particularly when the first day of Spring, March 20, will be two days after the next edition.
The first day of Spring was once the date when every home was given a good Spring clean...
“Litter, litter everywhere; Tell me do you really care; Bits of paper in the street; Empty cans around your feet; Please keep tidy when you can; Always help the Tidy Man.”
John Taylor, Norton
