THE people of Stamford Bridge and the surrounding villages have once again shown outstanding support for the recent Poppy Appeal with the total made up as follows:
Stamford Bridge, including church collection £3,484.99; Wilberfoss and Newton-on-Derwent £754; Bishop Wilton, including church collection £584.69; Full Sutton with industrial estate and HMP £549.48; High and Low Catton, including church £353.94; Bugthorpe and Skirpenbeck £295.82; collections from other areas £1,443.17 and the total was £7,466.09.
On behalf of the Royal British Legion I wish to say a massive thank you again to all the collectors, the hardworking cash counters and local businesses for their continued support and to everyone who donated so generously.
