SOLICITORS in the Ryedale area, including Crombie Wilkinson Solicitors LLP of Malton, and Ellis Lakin & Co of Pickering, have helped to raise vitally-needed funds for nine charities by participating in the Will Aid scheme.
They have waived their usual fees for writing a will during Will Aid month, and invited their clients to donate to charity instead.
Nationwide the scheme has raised move than £2m with 23,000 people making their will. The charities that will benefit include ActionAid, Age UK, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, NSPCC, Save the Children, Sightsavers, SCIAF (Scotland) and Trocaire (NI).
We would like to thank the solicitors who worked so hard and members of the public who took part. The campaign will run again in November this year, so readers who missed out last time will have another opportunity to support us.
