ARTISTS will give Pickering library a new dimension next year.
The library will become a community hub as a result of Arts Council funding. There will be a variety of art forms, including textiles, music and words.
“We will be promoting online resources and making the most of technology. There will be the opportunity for library staff and community partners to develop together,” said a spokesman.
Chrys Mellor, general manager of North Yorkshire County Council’s library service, will attend the town council’s January meeting to discuss the library’s future.
