NORTH York Moors National Park’s planning committee has turned down a major plan to build a leisure complex and hotel suites at Ox Pasture Hall, Lady Edith’s Drive, Scarborough, on the grounds that the development would harm the setting of the listed building because of its massing, design and scale.
The committee approved a plan to convert and extend barns at Church House Farm, Danby, to create a house, and the construction of a building to house Polyhalite crushing and screening plant at the Boulby Potash mine near Staithes.
