PARENTS waiting for their children to come out of school will no longer have to hang around in the rain at Thornton-le-Dale school.
North York Moors National Park’s planning committee has given the green light to the building of a timber shelter which the parents have funded themselves.
Some neighbours had objected, fearing the shelter could lead to night-time activity by young people. As a result it is being re-sited within the school grounds.
