RYEDALE Folk Museum’s tractor and engine day will be held for the 15th time on Sunday.
More than 40 vintage tractors and engines will be on show at the museum with owners and enthusiasts on hand to talk to visitors about their vehicles, including an Allis-Chalmer, a heritage David Brown and a grey Fergie.
Trophies will be given to the winners in the categories of Most Original, Best Tractor and Best Engine, while the Charlie Greyson Trophy will be presented for the Best Fordson. Winners will be announced at 1pm and a celebratory tractor road-run will take place around the village at 2pm.
Museum manager and tractor enthusiast Kevin Simms said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to see some of the finest tractors and engines in private ownership in this region and meet the characters that own them. The event has become a popular annual fixture at the museum and visitors are often surprised by the variety to see.”
The event takes place from 10am to 4pm. Normal admission fees apply.
