MALTON & Norton RUFC need to take advantage of their home games in the final stretch of the North One East campaign.
That was the view of club spokesman Bill Laidler as he contemplated a run-in that includes six away fixtures and only three home matches.
Struggling Old Crossleyans visit The Gannock tomorrow, with only Middlesbrough and Sheffield to follow them to Ryedale.
On the other hand, Malt have yet to travel to Old Brodleians, Morpeth, Percy Park, Team Northumbria, Gateshead and Cleckheaton.
Laidler said: “The majority of our games now are away, so we have got to cash in on our home games.
“Barring a miracle, we should be safe and now we’ve got to try to finish as high as we can.”
The break due to the winter weather has given prop Paul Dobson time to recover from the back spasm that caused him to be stretchered off during the win over Northern late last month.
Meanwhile, York RI travel to basement side Halifax Vandals in Yorkshire Three and Nestlé Rowntree are at Rawmarsh in Yorkshire Five.
