A NEW website has been launched to help promote sexual health services.
The website includes details of sexual health services across North Yorkshire and York as well as advice and information on a range of sexual health issues such as contraception, sexually transmitted infections and safe sex.
Under 25s can also use the website to request a postal chlamydia test.
Virginia Smith, matron for sexual health at York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust which is part of the YorSexualHealth partnership, said: “We’ve been working closely with young people to ensure information about sexual health services in their area is easy to find.
“Our work highlighted that a lot of people were unsure about where their local sexual health service was and didn’t know how to find out.
“The vast majority said they would typically access information online and hence why we’ve developed this new website.”
