HEART-friendly rural Bison could soon be on North Yorkshire plates thanks to the help of enterprise chiefs.
Roger and Julia Clutterbuck's North American Bison -- familiar to many as the buffaloes seen in Hollywood western -- graze the ancient parklands of their home at Hornby Castle near Bedale.
And thanks to a Defra Rural Enterprise Scheme grant, plans are afoot to market the meat under the Hornby Castle brand as prime cuts from the Clubberbuck's own shop and to local restaurants.
