HERE they sit this friendly pair
Their curly heads a closeness share.
Shining eyes say so much
Secrets shared, a gentle touch.
The world around might stand still,
They don't notice, plans to fill.
What to do, where to go
The day is theirs, and so
One head bends and whispers
One pair of eyes behold.
The look says it all
As they sit on the wall
Making each other happy.
An arm across a shoulder
A paw across the knee.

A boy and his faithful puppy.
