Down on the farm,
It's a very sad time,
What with this food and mouth thing,
and all the heartache it can bring.
All the 'no entry' signs, on the gates,
and the foot baths in their place;
We check our animals every day,
Hoping the foot and mouth keeps away.
With the mail, came a letter today,
Telling us, we are in zone D, as they say,
Then came along MAFF to check our stock,
What a bad day, we did get a shock.
A feed lorry came to our farm one day,
after being on one with foot and mouth they say,
Now our big fat bulls, can't go to ABP.
We have to keep them another three weeks, you see.
More restrictions placed on us than ever before,
To try and keep foot and mouth from our door,
We now double check our animals twice a day,
Praying the foot and mouth keeps away.
