THE biggest pumpkin ever recorded in the show was on display at Slingsby village horticultural show on Saturday.
The giant vegetable, which was grown by veteran competitor Ken Etty, whose pumpkin weighed in at 278lbs.
Organiser Keith Dixon said: "The quality of entrants this year was fantastic.
"This was certainly the biggest pumpkin ever - we've had them over 250lbs before but we've never had one this big."
