I love 'Reader's Letters
For here the people speak
I love, too, our Poetry Corner,
I read it every week.
Letters tell of wrongs to right
Of things that shouldn't be,
And reflect what folk are thinking
And that means you and me.
But poetry tells of hopes and fears
Of loves, both new and old,
Of dreams, of things, and people
And memories which ne'r go cold.
So life goes on, it takes all sorts,
The writers and their readers,
Each with their lonely secret dreams
Down memory lane they lead us.
