BATA has recently appointed Steven Clarke as chief executive. Mr Clarke, who is based at BATA's new offices at Amotherby, succeeds Colin Coates who retired in January after more than 30 years service.
Mr Clarke comes from a farming background and is married with two sons. He has more than 20 years experience in the agricultural supply trade which will be of great value in continuing to take BATA forward in these challenging times.
He said: "I am pleased to be given the opportunity to join BATA - a local business offering personal service and outstanding value."
BATA has a diverse range of farm inputs including its own manufactured compound animal feeds, fertiliser and animal products, as well as fuel oils and gas for domestic, agricultural and industrial use. The firm's goods are on offer from 16 locations throughout Yorkshire.
