RILLINGTON
LAST Wednesday, 18 Rillington Young Farmers made their way to West Wold Farm at Langton for a night of chicken judging. The event was hosted by Adrian Knaggs and the chickens, Columbian Plymouth Rocks, were provided by Jamie Hyde.
The winners were as follows: 1 Daniel Maw, joint 2 Sam Ward and Paul Ireland, 4 Stephen Beal. A good educational night was had by all. Members would like to thank the host and the judges for making it such an enjoyable evening.
This week's meeting is tonight (Wednesday) at Rillington church rooms, at 7.30pm, and includes an advisory quiz. Everyone is welcome, so please come along if you fancy joining the club and to see what it is all about, or phone Sarah Waterworth on (07739) 687821 for more details.
A reminder. The club's annual dinner dance is on Friday, March 12, at the Royal Hotel, Scarborough. Tickets are £25. Contact Sarah Waterworth for more information.
DERWENT
THE Derwent YFC is preparing to hold its annual "Muck Chuck". Anyone looking for manure in the Stamford Bridge area is asked to order by calling Neil on (07901) 685931. Deliveries will be made on March 7, starting at 10am. The price is £1 a barrow load with money raised going to good causes.
