"ANOTHER Man with a Pint", an oil painting by Beverley artist Frederick William Elwell (1870-1958) goes on sale on Friday, April 30, at the Dee Atkinson & Harrison Exchange Saleroom, Driffield,
The pre-sale estimate is £6,000-£8,000. Though the painting (pictured above being held by saleroom manager Philippa Whiteley and surveyor Owen Nisbet) is unsigned, art historian Wendy Loncaster says she has no doubts about it provenance. It appears that the painting has spent many years in Australia.
