A SURVEY has been launched to help solve parking issues round Pickering Community Infant and Nursery School following concerns raised over safety.

North Yorkshire Police have issued the survey to give local people the opportunity to give them their opinions and pass on any useful information.h

A spokesperson for the Pickering Neighbourhood Police Team, said: "Due to some recent concerns around parking, vehicle obstructions and pedestrian safety outside Pickering Community Infant and Nursery School, we have created a short survey so that we can ask you some questions and gather your views.

"We and our partners have been taking action over the last few months but would like to give local people the opportunity to give us their opinions and pass on any useful information.

"We can then use this information to work with the school and our partners to ensure pick-up and collection times are made as safe as possible for everybody in the area. We greatly appreciate the time you are taking to complete this survey as it will allow us to better understand any issues you may have.

"The are two versions of the survey - one is for local residents that live near the school and the other is for parents of children who attend this school and school staff.

"You can either take part anonymously or sign up to Community Messaging as you take part in the survey. If you would like to receive updates from us about this or any other local matters, please sign up to Community Messaging when presented with that option."
