SUN INN B stretched their lead at the top of the Moors Darts League to seven points after beating Buck Inn Thornton 9-1. 

Sun got the better of several close legs including Dave Wray’s 94 finish in the three-a-side and Sarah Hodgson’s 121 and two ton scores to beat John Finch (171 score).

Al Hodgson also hit two tons in the individuals and two more in the pairs. 

Vic Worrall (133, 2x95) had a fine game for Buck’s consolation point.

Tom Hodgson (100), Sam Farrow and James Magson (100) set second placed Royal Oak A on the way to an 8-2 victory at New Inn. 

Roger Bentley and Dave Pickersgill notched a couple of points for the hosts before Oak swept up the pairs and threes.

Royal Oak B also recorded an 8-2 win, The Peacock, who notched their first win of the season last time out, their unlucky victims.

Darren Sunley (100), Kev Fairclough (2x100), Ian Sonley (140, 120), Oliver Stead (140, 100) and Rich Smith (125, 100) laid the foundations for their win. 

Jack Taylor (100) and Laura Milner were on target for Peacock before Oak cleaned up in the pairs and threes.

Neil Robson (100), James Boyes (100), Laura Robson, Mike Brown (100) and Bob Sellars put Sun Inn A on the brink of a match win after the individuals at Coach House, only for the hosts to fight back to draw 5-5. 

Damon Marley and Rich Gillings (100) kept Coach House alive before their heroics in the pairs and threes.

Buck Inn A also won the last three legs to edge past White Swan by 6-4. 

Karen Medd, Tim Nichols (2x100), Julie Day and Phil Pateman were Swan’s individual winners with Mike Peirson, Nick Taylor (140) and Chris Freer (4x100) giving Buck the chance to pull off the unlikely match win. 

Swan bounced back with an excellent 9-1 victory over New Inn in a rearranged match, with Steve Cass (140, 100) starring.

Alongside the regular league, pairs and threes fixtures, players were also in action in the Mixed Pairs knockouts.

Keith Dickson and Amy Wrigglesworth will face Neil Robson and Laura Robson in the semi-finals after they beat Ian Sunley and Millie Collier, while Mike Brown and Kay will face off against Phil Pateman and Julie Day, the latter progressing after victory against Geoff Allan and Emma Bentley.
