DRIVERS in and around Ryedale will have five National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that two closures already in place are expected to carry on this week:

• A64, from 8pm January 9 to 6am February 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Sherburn, traffic signals for carriageway improvements.

• A64, from 8pm January 3 to 6am March 11, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Rillington, traffic signals for carriageway improvements.

And a further three closures will begin over the next seven days:

• A64, from 8pm January 16 to 5am February 1, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A64 eastbound and westbound, Rillington, traffic signals for general cleaning and maintenance.
