A WALKING netball club in Ryedale has offered a free taster session to anyone looking to join the group.
Malton Walking Netball is aimed at ladies over 50 and offers the chance to take part in the much-loved sport at a slower pace.
In walking netball, players are not allowed to run or jump and can also have more time on the ball.
The group play at Malton Community Sports Centre on Thursdays between 5pm and 6pm.
A free taster session will be held on Thursday, October 20, from 5pm, with refreshments also available.
The team has grown from strength to strength but is still looking for more ladies to join us for fun, tea and cake.
Prior experience playing netball, or knowledge of the sport’s rules, is not required.
A spokesperson for Malton Walking Netball said: “(It’s) a great group all ready to welcome new ladies whatever age or limitations, just come along and give it a go.”
