THIS year’s Boon Hill Show was a big success with record crowds and perfect weather.
It was held at Newton-upon-Rawcliffe, near Pickering, on Saturday.
The show specialises in horse riding and showjumping, terrier classes and vintage tractors, as well as
cookery, horticulture, crafts and ferrets.
The annual event, which this year was was raising money for two charities - Yorkshire Air Ambulance and Parkinson’s UK, attracts people from far and wide.
Mr Gibson said: “The show was a big success with record crowds and lovely weather. We also held a minute’s silence at 1pm to remember valued supporters of the show who sadly passed away in the last year.
“I’d like to thank the Woodmansey family for lending us the site,
everybody who took part, the committee judges and stewards for their help - and everybody else who contributed to the show.
“Without them - and everybody who turns up - we wouldn’t be able to have a show.”
