FIRE crews from Malton have attended a large fire on a patch of open ground in Norton.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue were called at 10.16pm on Monday to the scene in Beverley Road in Norton.
Fire services described it as a “large fire in the open involving tree brashings”.
Crews used two hose reels to extinguish the fire and also decided to revisit the site the next day to check for hotspots.
