Crews called to help fallen people
FIREFIGHTERS were called to the scenes of two people who had fallen in their homes over the course of one evening.
The first of Monday night’s callouts was to Kirkbymoorside just after 9pm. A crew from the Kirkbymoorside station assisted a man who had fallen in his home.
Firefighters assisted the man back to his bedroom and left him in the care of his carer.
The second callout was to Easingwold just after midnight.
A crew from Easingwold station assisted a woman who had fallen out of her wheelchair.
They helped her back and left in her in the care of paramedics to treat her for a knee injury.
