NORTON College has been selected as a merit award winner of the national Rolls-Royce science prize.

Norton College has been awarded a £1,000 prize and will now be entered as a finalist. The award recognises excellence and innovation in science education.

Terri Hoggart, the college's science technician, has been working with students to devise the concept of a medicinal man garden project, where a human body could be constructed out of plants.

Terri said: “I am thrilled that we have got this far. It would be fantastic if we win and we get to turn the idea of a medicinal man garden project into reality.”
