SOME 35 dealers will be selling a wide range of antiques and fine art at a forthcoming fair.

The weekend of April 20 to 22 will see the return to Duncombe Park in Helmsley of the bi-annual antique fair organised by Harrogate-based event organisers, Galloway Antiques Fairs.

Items for sale will include town and country furniture, porcelain, silver, antique and vintage jewellery, oriental rugs, antiquarian maps and books, clocks, glass, lighting, mirrors, antique and contemporary paintings and bronze sculpture and many decorative items.

As the house is no longer open to the public, the antiques fair, set out in the servants’ quarters downstairs, also gives members of the public a unique opportunity to look around the whole house.

Admission to the fair is £6. It will be open daily from 10.30am to 5pm, with a 4.30pm finish on Sunday. There will be free car parking outside the house.
