A FOUR-YEAR-OLD boy has been injured in an accident with a car on the A64 at Rillington.
Police said that the collision between Malton and Scarborough was reported at 8.48am.
The Yorkshire Ambulance Service said both a road ambulance and an air ambulance were sent to the scene, but the latter was not needed.
A spokeswoman said the child was taken to York Hospital by road ambulance with injuries which were believed to be minor.
No-one else was hurt.
The road was temporarily closed after the accident but has since been re-opened.
