THE play area at Rainbow Lane in Malton has been improved and renovated.
Malton Town Council carried out the project, which includes new equipment for all ages, through the Section 106 agreement, following consultation with schools, play groups and charities who support children with disabilities and special needs.
Cllr Paul Andrews, mayor of Malton Town Council, said: “This is a great fun-filled play area and replaces the tired and worn equipment to create a modern innovative facility for young children and teenagers.
"With the addition of the adult gym equipment I hope residents and visitors will enjoy the changes.”
