A CHARITY which provides transport to people who have limited means of travelling by offering affordable journeys is appealing for volunteers.
Ryedale Community Transport is holding an open morning at Kirkbymoorside library from 10am today (Wednesday).
Operations manager Ken Gill said: “This is an essential service for people who have difficulty accessing transport to get to essential appointments at GP surgeries, hospital appointments, chiropody, social activities or shopping.
“We know that community transport is a really important issue for our residents. I would encourage anyone who is willing to volunteer to get involved.”
