A NEW group which aims to promote an unique collection of antiques is being officially launched this weekend.
The Friends of the Harrison Collection has been set up to increase awareness of the items, amassed by brothers Edward and Richard Harrison over the last 60 years, which are on display at the Ryedale Folk Museum.
Helen Sheard, chairman of the Friends, said: “In order to do this, the Friends have a number of ideas, including providing promotional material and volunteers to man the collection during the day, who will be personally trained by Edward Harrison."
Anyone wishing to become a "Friend" should email Helen Sheard at helensheard1@icloud.com or Tanya Grundmann at tkarenina@gmail.com
