A WOMAN has suffered severe bruising to her face, body and ankle after being assaulted in an attempted robbery.

It happened in the alley between Link Walk and High Street in Eastfield, Scarborough, at 7.30am on Saturday, August 19.

It is believed that two women and man assaulted another woman in an attempted robbery.

The two women are described as being aged late 20s to early 30s. They had their hair in ponytails and were wearing tracksuits and white trainers.

The man is described as being aged late 20s to early 30s, 5ft 10ins tall and was wearing a zip top hoody, tracksuit bottoms and combat boots.

The female victim suffered severe bruising to her face, body and ankle as a result of the assault and was treated at Scarborough hospital, before being discharged.
