MORE than 100 Year 10 students from Norton College have been exploring work placement opportunities with local businesses.
This year’s placements include working with engineers, joiners, vets, pharmacists, teachers, scientists, artists, child minders, farmers, sports coaches and solicitors.
Kerry Megginson and Rachael Medley, the work experience co-ordinators and Year 11 and Year 10 ALCs, said: “We are always very grateful to employers who accept students as we understand the effort and time it takes to give the student a programme which is appropriate and meaningful.
“Every year feedback from employers and students is very positive. Norton College has outstanding local support from many employers who make a real investment in the young people in their community.
"Despite all the organisation involved, offering work experience is an important part of Norton’s ASPIRE values.”
