Pet cat "killed by dog"
POLICE are appealing for information after a pet cat was mauled to death in Old Malton.
The body of the cat was found by the children who owned it.
In a community message, police said that the incident happened on Monday, August 14 between 9am and 9.30am on the path leading from Rainbow Lane to Westgate Lane, Old Malton.
They added that they believe that a dog attacked and killed the cat.
