A TASTE of the Deep South of America came to Malton at the weekend with the sixth annual Yorkshire Cajun and Zydeco Festival.
The event, which took place from Thursday to Sunday, included new features and musicians, as well as regular favourites, with dance workshops, jam sessions, music and the Cajun/Creole Kitchen.
John Adamson, one of the festival organisers, said the event had been even bigger and better than last year.
“It went really well and everyone had a great time – it was fantastic,” he said. “We had people coming from all over the UK and Europe including France and Holland and lots of positive comments.”
“We had a great weekend with a fabulous atmosphere and lots of local people came to support us, which was amazing. It was a wonderful festival and everyone has been really supportive. We will be back to do it all again next year.”
