LIBERAL Democrats will be in Malton tomorrow (Saturday) urging them to sign a petition calling for the public to be allowed a vote on the final Brexit deal.
Di Keal, Liberal Democrat councillor for Norton West, said: “Only the Liberal Democrats are standing up the Tories and arguing that we should stay in the single market when we leave the EU.
"A lot of people have serious concerns about the route that Theresa May is taking the country down with a so called ‘hard Brexit’. With the referendum a distant memory people are waking up to the facts about the impact this will have on their daily lives.”
“Our NHS is in crisis, Yet we are risking it becoming even more short-staffed if it is not allowed to recruit doctors and nurses from the EU and crops will rot in the ground if workers are not welcomed into the UK to pick them”.
