VISITORS were transported back to Medieval days during an event in Old Malton on Saturday.
The churchyard at St Mary’s Priory Church became a military camp with re-enactments taking place.
Members of Regia Anglorum demonstrated a variety of handicrafts and showed members of the public how life was lived at the time that the Priory was founded. There was also a stained glass exhibition and demonstrations at St Mary’s Community Centre.
Helen Morgan, one of the organisers, said: "People who came along really enjoyed it and the re-enactors also enjoyed the day as well. Visitors also gained a good insight into medieval life and it was educational for the children, as well a being a nice day out."
Money raised will be donated to the church’s roof appeal.
