A YORKSHIRE businessman has launched a holiday park at Wrelton, between Kirkbymoorside and Pickering.
Mark Goodson is developing the £500,000 Wayside Lakes site with up to 38 lodges.
Mr Goodson said: "Wayside Lakes is the newest addition to Wayside Holiday Park and we believe strongly it’s our best creation to date.
"The quality holiday lodge market is buoyant, thanks to the strength of the so-called grey pound, and we are discovering that an exclusive holiday park is an idea whose time has come."
Mr Goodson added that all the suppliers and contractors of the development are local, and that the holiday park supports the Ryedale Cancer Support and Social Group, the Wrelton playground committee and also its village grass-cutting volunteers.
