A HELMSLEY travel agents has been announced as a finalist in a prestigious travel awards.
Spear Travels is a nominated finalist at the 2015 British Travel Awards in two categories, the best local travel agency and best travel retailer for customer service.
The travel agents was voted best travel retailer for customer service in 2014 and said they are thrilled to be finalists once again.
Managing director Peter Cookson said: "Winning the award for best travel retailer for customer service in 2014 was a fantastic achievement for our business and an award that we are all very proud of.
"To be nominated again this year is incredible and demonstrates that the role of a truly independent, unbiased community focussed travel agent remains key to consumers."
The winners will be determined by voters who have until September 30 to cast their vote. The winners will be announced at the BTA Gala Awards Ceremony in London later this year.
