A JUDGE has hit out at the “proliferation” of drug dealers in Scarborough after jailing a pair for more than five years.
Judge Stephen Ashurst, the Recorder of York, expressed his frustration as he sentenced James Taylor and Jason Sinclair at York Crown Court yesterday.
The duo, aged 20 and 18 respectively, admitted dealing heroin and cocaine worth up to £1,060.
Andrew Dallas, prosecuting, said they they were caught with the drugs and £580 cash.
Taylor, of no fixed abode, was given three years in a youth offenders’ institute, Sinclair, of Rose Hill Court, Woolton, a two-year-and-four-month term.
