Pupils have songs broadcast on radio
SINGERS will have their voices aired on radio this Christmas.
Children at St Martin’s School, in Ampleforth, will have four songs broadcast on BBC Radio York during the week starting Monday, December 22.
Vincent Conyngham, the school’s director of music, said he was looking forward to hearing the children’s performance.
He said: “It has been an honour to record these songs for broadcast on Radio York.
“I hope the listeners enjoy hearing our choir sing.”
The four songs the choir performed for the radio station were festive classics including Away in a Manger, The Holly and The Ivy, The Rocking Carol and Winter Wonderland.
