DETECTIVES are seeking witnesses to a fight between a group of men on a train.
British Transport Police said the fight broke out between a large group of men on a train between York and Scarborough at 9.45pm on Saturday, October 25.
PC Lee Dines said "We received reports of disorder taking place on the train involving two groups of men. The men were being extremely aggressive and then began fighting each other. Officers attended Scarborough railway station but the men had already left the service and the station.
"You may have seen or heard something that could prove vital to this investigation. This must have been an intimidating environment for other passengers on board the train. We do not tolerate anti-social and violent behaviour like this and we will be continuing our enquiries, including viewing any available CCTV and speaking to witnesses."
Anyone with information or who was on the train should phone BTP on 0800 405040 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555111.
