POP star Jessie J brought a young fan from North Yorkshire on stage with her at a performance this week.
The Brit Award winner invited six-year-old Angel Sutton, from South Cliff, Scarborough, and a friend to join her to sing along to It's My Party, at Scarborough Open Air Theatre this week.
Angel had her left leg amputated as a baby as she has Ectodermal-Ectrodactyl-Clefting Syndrome (EEC), and is due to have her right leg amputated this summer. She spent half an hour chatting with Jessie prior to the performance in front of thousands of fans.
Angel’s mother Tina Sutton said: "While our expectations were high because Angel had always wanted to meet Jessie, we really couldn’t believe that she spent thirty minutes with her. Jessie is a truly genuine person - during their time together she sang to Angel, asked her what her favourite song was and talked to her about the problems with her legs.
"Without doubt though, the delight of the night was when Jessie asked Angel to go on stage with her to sing her favourite song. The whole experience has made an absolute world of a difference to Angel as she has been able to meet Jessie before her big operation later this summer."
Angel was born with deformed legs due to the genetic condition, and her family are raising money for new, waterproof legs, through gofundme.com/legs-for-angel
