New venture connects small businesses in Ryedale
Updated 10:06am Wednesday 7th May 2014 in News
A MALTON man has launched a new venture aimed at smaller businesses in the area.
After nine years selling online office supplies, Rob Davies, who is also the fundraising officer for Ryedale Special Families, has set up ’It’seeze Ryedale,' a website design company.
Rob said: “Quite simple I wanted something new and exciting for me as well as something that could benefit the local business community.
“Having done my research I was staggered to learn that 40% of small businesses still don’t have a website. Also, of the 60% who do, there is a huge proportion who have a problem with their current site.”
Rob said he has spoken to lots of people who don’t know where to turn as they are frightened off by all the buzz words and technical jargon.
“Our websites are extremely affordable, ideal for the large number of sole traders and small businesses in the area,” he added.
“They can be up and running with a brand new purpose designed website within three –to four weeks. An effective website will help a business grow.”
Rob has 30 years experience working in advertising and design agencies working with companies including Morrisons, Yorkshire Tea, and the Jorvik Viking Centre.
“I hope to bring that business experience to the table when discussing a customer's needs – but I promise never to mention HTML Tag, Hypertext or Meta Data - that’s why we call the business It’seeze!,” he added.
“I will also be continuing my fundraising work for Ryedale Special Families and wherever possible will use the opportunity to connect new people that I meet with the charity.”
