TWO local charities are hoping to provide lonely and isolated people in Ryedale with an afternoon of entertainment.

But before the Songs and Scones evening can go ahead, Live Music Now (LMN) and Ryedale Carers Support (RCS) need the backing of the community to help make it happen. Engage Mutual is asking the public to vote on who to donate funding to and LMN and RCS are asking people to vote for them so that they can continue to run the event, held monthly at Amotherby village hall.

The money would help them to run 12 events across the year, providing lonely and isolated older residents across Ryedale with a chance to have fun and make friends.
