PUPILS at Thornton-le-Dale Primary School have been showcasing their work on a website which promotes children’s writing talents.

The Lend Me Your Literacy site aims to inspire young writers by providing them with a global audience.

Teacher Dave Cash said: “We are proud of our writers in school and believe that writing should always have a purpose.

“Showcasing our work on the Lend Me Your Literacy website provides this purpose, allowing us to share our writing with a much wider audience, whose comments are valued.

“The opportunity to have writing published raises self-esteem and children are motivated by the comments by authors and others from schools worldwide.”
