THE atmosphere in Fibbers was electric on Saturday when One Night Only played the first of their two sell-out gigs at the venue.

The Helmsley chart toppers seemed relaxed during their hour-long set, smattered with songs from their top ten debut album, Started A Fire.

The last time they played at Fibbers they were an unsigned local band with plenty of promise, but tonight it was a more experienced, fully-fledged chart-topping group that entertained the expectant crowd.

They've certainly got the rock star look, and the sound was more confident and polished, yet still edgy, and unlike their last visit, the crowd sang along to most of the songs, including the band's first single, You And Me.

The songs are anthemic and likeable indie pop ditties, which are instantly and foot-tappingly catchy, and it's instantly obvious why they've hit the giddy heights of the top ten.

They even did a cover of The Sugababes' About You Now, which they made their own.

"We've made it," said singer George Craig, as they launched into the last song of the set and latest single, Just For Tonight. Indeed they have.
