LOCALLY-based artists will be showcasing their work at the North Yorkshire Artists Exhibition over the Easter weekend.

The exhibition is being organised by local award-winning artist Amanda Pickles.

She said: "Last year I was pleased that over £400 was raised for St Catherine’s Hospice, so, the aim of this event is again to support this local, worthwhile charity, with donations throughout and a raffle.

"The exhibition is an intriguing mix of art, ranging from lovely flowing watercolours, to the well known ‘Quirky’ acrylic paintings of myself and the ever popular Kezy Feaster paintings capturing the feeling of our surroundings with ceramics, stained glass, batik and fabric work also included."

Amanda added: "The exhibition gives the opportunity for the artists to showcase their new work, inform the public of other art events during the year and meet the public.

"This event at Easter has become well-known over the last 13 years, when I have organised an exhibition each year on behalf of a charity. Our supporters travel long distances and other events and local places of interest also benefit by this event."
